Positron Entered in to Alphalabs.cc Competition

February 14th 2012

The deadline for entries in to Nokia and OneDotZero's alphalabs.cc competition was midnight last night and though we have not had the time to work on an entry for the competition we figured we may as well go ahead and enter Positron.

The alphalabs experiment was designed to encourage developers to create visually unique applications which combine the use of clever coding and provide unique visual or audio experiences for Windows Phone 7 and in particular the Nokia Lumia 800.

We felt Positron kinda fits that description though some of the other apps that have been submitted do very clever things and show off certain features of Nokia's Lumia 800 Windows Phone very well.

There is a grand prize of £5,000 and ten runners up prizes of £500. With less than twenty entires in the competition we'd like to think we're in with a good chance of coming in as a runner up.

We wish all the other entrants good luck and hope to see all these great apps released on the marketplace in the coming months!

If you'd like to try out a pre-release demo of Positron for Windows Phone 7, Xbox Live Indie Games or Windows PC please contact Martin Caine (press@retroburngames.com).
