Positron at Ga-Ma-Yo on Clubit.tv

February 12th 2016

Back in November I attended the latest Ga-Ma-Yo event and took Positron for people to play.

Ga-Ma-Yo is a game developer network with a focus on games and developers from Yorkshire. The network has something like 700+ members now and has brought the whole local development community together. The number of collaborative projects we see between Yorkshire based studios now is far greater than it was a few years ago before Ga-Ma-Yo! The events which Ga-Ma-Yo puts on (which are free to attend for game developers) are always a great chance to catch up with other developers and to show things off and get opinions from your peers. It's also a great way to make contacts and is beginning to attract more attention from publishers, platform holders, and other industry veterans who make their way to Yorkshire to attend our events.

I took the latest build of Positron on my laptop to the last event and had a few dozen people play it. The feedback I always get is that the game looks and plays great.. and when is it going to be released. I had no real plans at that point and hoped to have it out by Christmas but over the following few months I spent hardly any time on it.

Clubit TV were at the event walking around and filming interviews with the developers. I was happy to talk about the game on camera and always like gathering up these Positron links on the internet as every little bit of exposure helps. Here's the full video on Clubit's YouTube channel:
