Our 2D artist Peter has been hard at work creating the characters for Shadow Racers and drawing up some art work which will be used to tell the story of Shadow Racers throughout the game.
Here we have a portrait of Sam Lincoln, the player character and the focus of Shadow Racers. He's been racing all his life and is one of the toughest racers out there!
Today we received the second draft track for the Shadow Racers soundtrack from Adam who also created the soundtrack for See and Learn. Below you can listen to the first drafts of both tracks and we're very pleased with the tracks Adam has created so far. They shound perfect for Shadow Racers!
First rough track for the Critical Strike sountrack
Today we received the first rough track from Ben our composer and musician working on the Critical Strike soundtrack. Below you can listen to a sample of the track, expect more music in this style in the complete game!
Nick has once again completed another car for Shadow Racers.
This one is based on the classic Ford Mustang and represents the American Muscle cars in the game. Most of the other cars from the game are more modern and sporty, this is one of only a few 'older' style cars in the game.
Here is the first completed vehicle for our newly announced game, Crash and Burn.
Oscar has been busy since joining the team and we're very impressed with this first model and look forward to seeing what else he comes up with in the future.
Today we welcome Oscar to the team working on a spin-off racing project named Crash and Burn.
Using the base engine from our racing game Shadow Racers we are looking to develop other racing games and Oscar has joined the team to create the vehicles for one such game.
Here is a render of the first car from our modeller Nick.
The car (if you can't guess) is based on the Mazda MX5 and Nick has done a great job with the car. Our next step will be to get this loaded into our engine and have a fiddle about with the renderer.

Martin will be covering the topic of project management, with particular emphasis on how developers can build a team of like-minded individuals to produce high quality games. In essence using the experience and success of Retroburn Game Studios to demonstrate his methods.
If you're interested in attending then please check out the links below, it should be a great day for anyone interested in game development and anyone currently working with XNA on Indie Games.
